I’m a third year undergraduate at the University of California, San Diego pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Cognitive Science with Specializations in Machine Learning. Design, and Data Science. I am a researcher interested in Human-Computer interaction and a designer devoted to creating interfaces and experiences centered around the user themselves. I also utilize skills in web and application development to implement new features on apps and research prototype systems. My interests also include project management, where I would love to utilize my leadership skills and agile development experience to lead a project through its lifecycle and excel above expectations.
I design and develop features for the UC San Diego Campus Mobile App. The app is used widely by students for essential day to day tasks and improves the campus experience. I utilize tools like AWS, CMS, Adobe XD, and the Google Flutter SDK to complete projects that range from UI/UX prototyping and bug-fixes, to months-long feature implementations. I have also created an agile testing structure that allows for streamlined QA testing and consistent app deployments while minimizing tester fatigue and confounding factors.
I am the research lead on a Human-Computer Interaction-related Research project at the UC San Diego Design Lab. I lead a team of researchers towards writing a paper for an ACM CHI or CSCW conference. We are interested in learning about how novel social computing systems may promote discussion about data and civic issues online. I began on this team as an intern, and moved up to the lead position. I am very grateful to be continuing and for the opportunity to work under Professor Steven Dow!
Some of my passions are Nature, Coffee, and Cars! I love exploring National Parks with my family, going to car meets and auto shows, and trying out local coffee places. All of these things make me more relaxed, and I really love taking the time to appreciate the smaller things in life.
